Telonic offers Siglent’s enhanced precision digital multimeters

The SDM4000A series 5½-digit and 6½-digit digital multimeters (DMMs) by  Siglent Technologies are now available in the UK from Telonic Instruments.

The SDM4000A series DMMs offer 2,200,000 counts for the 6½-digit resolution model; or 220,000 for the 5½-digit DMM and a full-scale display range from -2,199,999 to +2,199,999. Reading rate is 50,000 readings/s and the minimum sampling interval is 20-µs. There are also 11 measurement functions and the DMMs feature a touchscreen.  According to the distributor, these performance parameters ensure precise capture of subtle current variations and large voltage fluctuations.

The SDM4055A series achieves a maximum reading rate of 4,800 readings/s, and the SDM4065A series supports up to 50,000 readings/s. Both models offer adjustable measurement speeds (fast/medium/slow). The SDM4065A’s sampling interval can be configured from 0.001 to 1,000 power line cycle for high-speed data acquisition and micro-variation monitoring.

In addition to continuous sampling for real-time monitoring, both models have a data logging function which supports continuous data logging for up to 100 hours with 2GB internal storage. The SDM4065A additionally has a digitiser function.

Supported maths function are statistics, limits, dBm, dB, and relative measurements. The DMMs calculate maximum/minimum, average, peak-to-peak, standard deviation, and sample count. They enable pass/fail testing via pre-set thresholds. There is also voltage-to-power conversion, dB-based relative measurements, and deviation analysis.

Display modes are numeric, histogram for data distribution analysis, trend chart for dynamic data pattern observation and trend prediction, and bar chart for cross-condition comparisons and rapid analysis of variations and patterns under different conditions.

The SDM4055A series is equipped with a 512MB RAM and a 256MB NAND – flash memory.  The SDM4065A series can save up to 2m readings. Instrument parameter files can be managed in the internal storage area and on external USB storage devices.

The DMMs integrate USB host, device and LAN interfaces with optional USB-GPIB module. They also support standard SCPI remote control commands, PC-based software, and are compatible with the latest mainstream multimeter command sets, says the company. An embedded web server enables direct remote control and programming via a browser.
