Modular SiC inverter modules accompanied by reference designs

Modular SiC intelligent power modules and inverter control modules by Cissoid are now available from Rhopoint Components.

The Cissoid CMT-PLA3SB12340A SiC mosfet intelligent module is available from the distributor with reference designs for customisation.

Applications include power systems for electric cars, buses, trucks, lorries and heavy-duty industrial plant equipment as well as electric boats, aviation and industrial motor control.

TheSiC mosfet intelligent power module has an open-source design for developers to customise the module. Reference designs and bench-top or on-board packaging are available to shorten development lead times.

The SiC inverter platform is based on a suite of hardware and software products including a SiC intelligent power module, an inverter control module and functionally safe e-motor control hardware and software from Intel Automotive Solutions.

The power module is a three-phase inverter with anti-parallel diodes with drain-to-source breakdown voltage of 1200V. Maximum continuous current is 340A/260A at Tc=25°C/90°C and on-resistance is typically 3.25mΩ and junction temperature ranges from -40°C to +175°C.

Cissoid’s footprint-compatible power modules work across vehicle families although most parts, from semiconductor components to software and mechanical design can be adapted to meet an application’s needs, said the company.

Rhopoint is an authorised partner based in the UK.
