Mouser ships BLE modules based on NXP Wi-Fi 6 chip

Bluetooth LE modules that combine Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth Core 5.4 by Ezurio (formerly known as Laird Connectivity) are available from Mouser Electronics.

The Sona NX611 Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth LE modules are based on NXP’s IW611 Wi-Fi 6 chipset and boast a data transmission throughput of 500Mbps. The small industrial IoT modules are suitable for use in IoT, medical, industrial automation and consumer applications

The modules are pre-calibrated with integrated transmit/receive RF paths, diplexers, low noise amplifiers (LNAs), RF switches, reference crystal oscillators, and power management units (PMU). They also include a Wi-Fi subsystem that integrates a Wi-Fi MAC, baseband, and direct-conversion radio with integrated power amplifier, LNA, and transmit/receive switch. This integration negates the need for an RF front-end modules, advises the distributor, which reduces system complexity and saves costs.

Mouser also stocks the Ezurio Sona NX611 DVK development kit for those wishing to develop prototype Wi-Fi 6 products using the BLE module. The kit is available for SIP and M.2 1216/2230 versions, with either MHF connectors or RF trace connection and integrated chip antenna form factors. The development kit is designed to expose all the features and interfaces of the NX611 to support development.
