2.5kW medical power supply
MEB-2K5A PSUs, as they will be know, measure 127 x 271 x 40.5mm, have 5V 2A stand-by output, and are conformally coated to increase reliability.
“With PMBus version 1.3 compatibility, MEB-2K5A is ideal for applications such as CT scanners, surgical robots, collaborative robots and laser machines,” according to Luso Electronics, which is stocking the PSU.
Operation is over 85 – 264Vac and 47-63Hz. Full output capability is only available with inputs above 180Vac. Between 110 and 132Vac it is 1.5kW, and drops to 1kW at 85Vac.
Voltage can be trimmed above nominal to allow for cable voltage drops, for example, and the output constant current limiting level can be trimmed in 24V and 48V models. Active current sharing is included for higher-power applications.
A smart fan is included for thermal management. Use is possible over -20 to +70°C, although output derates linearly to 50% after 50°C.
2x MOPP isolation is included and the supplies are BF compliant types. Safety certifications include IEC/EN/UL 60601-1 (medical), IEC 62368-1 (industrial), and IEC/EN 60335-1 and IEC/EN 61558-1/-2/16 (household).
Remote on-off and power-good connections are available – sub-variants offer active-hi or active-low remote on-off.
