Compact sensor blower for vehicles

Ebm-Papst Automotive & Drives has introduced a sensor blower that samples air temperature in the passenger compartment of a vehicle for automatic climate control.

The S2000 provides tight control of temperature, offering greatly improved passenger comfort and safer motoring.

The device can be fitted in roof lamps, compartments, climate control units, or in a standalone position anywhere in the cabin. The firm said a winding/magnet construction ensures any possibility of stall is eliminated. 12V dc versions are standard, 24V versions are available upon request, and an electronic version with built in drive electronics is also available.

All units have optional integrated NTC temperature sensor availability. Other options include a tacho signal facility. Electrical connection is via PCB mountable pins.
