The kit is plug and play, with the sensor on a small PCB that connects to a host PC, and associated software for the PC.

The sensor module is configured and calibrated via an I2C cable.

FLS122, announced in May, is claimed by Flusso to be the “world’s smallest air velocity sensor”, and supports bidirectional flow sensing for real-time air speed and temperature measurement.

It works over a range of 0 to 20m/s, with better than 5% accuracy. Operating range is -40 to +85°C.

“Although the FLS122 was launched to target thermal management and filter monitoring applications, it is being increasingly evaluated by customers for use in handheld, battery-powered test equipment on account of its low power and integration flexibility,” according to the company.
