Accurate temperature and humidity sensors are tiny

ScioSense has launced a family of digital temperature and humidity sensors with accuracies down to 0.1°C and 0.8% relative humidity.

ScioSense ENS21x digital temperature humidity sensors

ENS21x sensors (see below) are aimed at home appliances, building air conditioning, automotive air conditioning, cold chain management, health monitoring, industrial automation and instrumentation.

Response can be in under a second for temperature and three seconds for humidity.

Stand-by consumption is 40nA.

sensor application accuracy range
ENS210A automotive qualified ±0.15°C 2.0% RH -40 to

ENS211 consumer and appliance ±0.15 2.0
ENS212 premium consumer and appliance ±0.15 1.5
ENS213A accuracy at high RH ±0.15 1.0
ENS215 instrumentation ±0.10 0.8

The parts are too new to have datasheets or web pages at the time of writing – ScioSense can be found here.

Based in Eindhoven, ScioSense was founded in 2019 as a joint venture between AMS (49%) and Wise Road Capital (51%). “The experience and knowledge of AMS is incorporated in ScioSense”, according to the company, which has more than 100 employees.
