“Sustaining accuracy with no errors over long distance transmissions, 4 – 20mA current does not degrade over long connections and is less sensitive to background electrical noise,” according to the company. “Simple to connect and configure, the 4-20 mA output position sensors offer plug and play compatibility with most PLCs [programmable logic controllers] and controllers. Units also require less wiring and connections than other signals.”
Devices have either radially or axially-mounted connectors (see image), and units are available in ranges from 2.5mm to 500mm.
As well as sealing to IP-68, windings inside are potted with a two-compound epoxy for resistance against harsh environment conditions.
Operation spans -25 to +85°C.
