Medical PSU is 80W

An 80W power supply for medical applications has been released by XP.

Housed in a package measuring 168x78x43mm and weighing 800 grams, the PCM80 is available in a choice of 15 single, nine dual, and six triple-output versions.

It features less than 300µA of leakage current at 230Vac and has 4,000Vac isolation from input to output. To comply with European safety agency requirements both line and neutral are fused. Active power factor correction ensures EN61000-3-2,-3 compliance and the power supply operates at 83 per cent typical efficiency with noise and ripple of less than one per cent peak-to-peak.

The PCM80 has a universal AC input of 90 to 240Vac and line regulation of ±1 per cent maximum at full rated load. Load regulation is within ±5 per cent, except for the 3.3V model, where it is within ±7 per cent.

Overvoltage protection is provided on output one and overcurrent protection, with auto recovery, applies to all outputs. The power supply operates from 0°C to +70°C ambient with linear derating from 100 per cent load at +40°C to 50 per cent load at +70°C.

The product family has medical safety approvals to all major agencies and meets EN55011 (CISPR11) Class B for conducted and radiated emissions.

The firm has sample availability from stock, lead time for production orders is 8 weeks.
