DC-DC converters offer voltage options

C&D Technologies has expanded its family of non-isolated, point of load DC-DC converters with 16 devices that offer full load current outputs of 10A and voltages ranging from 0.9V to 3.3V.

Designed for powering FPGAs, Asics, DSPs and microprocessors, the NNL10 converters can operate with a voltage input range of 3.0V – 5.5V and are available with output voltages of 0.9V, 1.0V, 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.0V, 2.5V, and 3.3V. Each variant is also offered with an optional ‘DC OK’ single wire connection.

Available in SMD format, the NNL10 converters have industry-standard footprints and all devices feature continuous short circuit protection, under voltage lockout, and overtemperature protection.

Output voltage trimming allows designers to adjust the voltage by +/-10% of nominal by connection of a resistor or by applying a voltage to the converter’s trim pin. In addition, an integrated remote sense function allows the designer to compensate for voltage drops between the output and the load point.

The NNL10 converters are rated for maximum line and load regulation of 1.0% and 0.55% respectively and offer a typical voltage set point accuracy of 1.0%. Operating temperature for the devices ranges from -40ºC to 85ºC. All of the new converters have a footprint of 33.0×13.5mm, and a maximum board-mounting profile of 8.3mm.
