Pico Tech upgrades power measurement in PC scope software

PC oscilloscope maker Pico Technology has upgraded power measurement in its companion analysis software to include crest factor, dc power, area at ac and area at dc – with net, positive, negative and absolute variants.

Pico Tech PicoScope7

These are included in its latest stable release (7.1.39) of PicoScope in all three versions, for: Windows, Linux or MacOS.

Other enhancements include:

  • 10BASE-T1S decode for automotive Ethernet
  • Annotations with arrows for in-graph comments, available for printing or saving into PicoScope (.psdata) files
  • Command-line batch conversion (only in Windows version) of PicoScope files to .csv, .txt or .mat (MatLab) file formats
  • Keyboard shortcuts for screen navigation

“PicoScope takes advantage of advancing PC processing, displays and operating systems,” said Pico Tech product manager Trevor Smith. “Large, high-resolution PC displays clearly show complex multi-channel analogue and digital waveforms, math channels, measurements, protocol decode tables and frequency-domain views.”

Standard features include touch screen compatibility, light and dark themes and operation in 27 languages.

The software, including its ~40 serial bus decoders, is available without payment, as are feature and bug updates.
