LeCroy has announced series of function and arbitrary waveform generators.

Called WaveStation, it includes instruments capable of generating signals up to 50MHz, offers a 3.5″ (90mm) display, two output channels on all models, and PC waveform editing software.

Models with bandwidths of 10 (model 2012), 25 (2022) and 50MHz (2052) are available, each with 125Msample/s sampling rate, 14bit resolution and 16kpoint memory per channel.

“Not only does it provide basic functions such as sine, square, ramp, pulse and noise, but also has over 40 built in arbitrary waveforms,” said the firm.

The colour display enables users to preview waveform shape along with parameters including: frequency, amplitude, offset, and phase.

Modulation schemes such as AM, PM, FM, ASK, PSK, FSK and PWM can be controlled from the front panel.

I/O connections allow synchronisation, as well as USB and GPIB for remote control and automation.

The PC utility allows waveforms to be created, shaped and edited, using mathematical operators, digital filters or by placing individual sample points.

Creation can be though an included free-form drawing package, and waveforms captured from the firm’s WaveAce oscilloscopes can be imported to be recreate by a WaveStation.

Caltest Instruments will be supplying the generators the unit in the UK
