Mouser signs global agreement with Formerica to stock Fiber Channel and 100G optical range

Following the signing of a global distribution agreement with Formerica Optoelectronics, Mouser announces that the former’s product range for data centres, enterprise IT, networking, 5G, IoT and broadcast applications are now available from the distributor. Mouser now stocks the company’s optical transceivers, active optical cables,Fibre Channel protocol products and serial digital interface (SDI) transceivers.

The Taiwanese manufacturer’s Fibre Channel optical transceivers small form factor optical modules (SFP+) with built-in digital diagnostic functions and LC duplex receptacles. The Gbit transceivers can be used in high-speed storage area networks, 10GBASE-SR Ethernet and 4G, 8G and 16G Fibre Channel systems. All-metal housing protects against EMI performance and comply to RoHS. Operation is via a single 3.3 V power supply.

100G optical transceivers support 100-Gbps data rate links with a reach of up to 150m. They use a standard 12/8-lane optical fibre and operate at a temperature range of 0 – 70°C. They comply with 100G Ethernet IEEE 802.3bm 100GBASE SR4 and SFF-8665 (QSFP28 Solution; Revision 1.8) standards and are designed for 100GBASE Ethernet Links, InfiniBand (IB) QDR, DDR, and EDR interconnects. Additional data rates below 100G, (1G, 10G, 25G, and 40G) are available.
