Würth Elektronik and One Tree Planted branch out for reforestation in Americas

The manufacturer has renewed its partnership with the non-profit organisation for reforestation and has pledged to plant a tree for each sample order placed in the US, Canada and Latin America.

For every sample ordered and shipped out through its US warehouse, the company planted a tree in partnership with One Tree Planted.  Last year, Würth Elektronik said it planted over 5,000 trees through the scheme last year and hopes to exceed this figure in 2023.

One Tree Planted supports reforestation and educates on the benefits of trees in providing clean air and water, habitats for wildlife, and a positive social impact. For every one tree planted, 10kg (22lbs) of CO2 is absorbed per year. The company estimated that its 5,075 trees planted in 2022 will absorb 50,750kg (111,650 lbs) of CO2 every year.

The company has also established a fundraising page for additional donations to the reforestation organisation.
