In seven case sizes from 1206 to 2225, they are made with either C0G (NP0) or X7R dielectric.
C0G types are rated at 2kVdc or 3kVdc and come in values between 1.5pF and 82nF, with a temperature coefficient of 0±30ppm/°C from -55 to +125°C.
X7R types are rated at 1kV or 2kV and come in values across 100pF to 100nF, with a temperature coefficient of ±15% from -55 to +125°C.
Part numbers are of the form ‘VJ….W1HV’.
“Devices released today are manufactured in a base metal electrode system with a dry sheet technology process to reduce costs for a range of high voltage applications,” according to the company, explaining: “The MLCCs feature a nickel barrier with 100 % tin terminations and are available with polymer terminations for additional protection against board flexure damage. The devices are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free and Vishay Green.”
