The judges found that RS Components has a high-energy team committed to operational excellence, whether delivering specialist products, developing solutions to ease customers’ procurement and inventory needs or designing and innovating for the future to create sustainable value for its customers, suppliers, people, communities and shareholders.
The company’s strategy to satisfy customers while implementing new environmental processes was praised. In particular, its Environmental, Social and Governance strategy was singled out. It is based on four global goals: to advance sustainability; to champion education and innovation; and to empower “our people” including working towards 40% of the company’s leaders being women and 25% being ethnically diverse. The final goal is doing business responsibly, ensuring the highest ethical and environmental standards. One judge described the strategy “as the reference for its competitors”.
