ITF hybrid couplers for high-frequency wireless systems

IMG_0876-300x200.webp

Kyocera has brought out a line of integrated thin film (ITF) hybrid couplers for high-frequency wireless systems in industrial, automotive, telecommunications, and telemetry applications. Hybrid couplers are special four-port directional couplers that split input signals into two equal-amplitude 3dB outputs whose phases are shifted by 90°. Many also support performance monitoring and inject signals without interrupting the original signal. The ...

Just when you thought there was nothing new in manual wire splicing connectors, Kyocera has announced something else to replace crimps and solder for joining them. “9179-000 Series IDC Splice Connectors are packed with features designed to make them an attractive alternative to traditional splicing,” according to the company. “They establish cold-welded, gas-tight connections and have been proven to withstand ...

lo temp co RF ceramic capacitors for comms

Kyocera KGU Series NP0 Capacitors

Kyocera AVX has released low-ESR C0G/NP0 dielectric RF MLCCs (multi-layer ceramic chip capacitors) “inspired by communications market demand for smaller RF capacitors that deliver repeatable performance”, it said. Called KGU, they come in values from 0.1 to 100pF with tolerances as low as ±0.05pF. They come in four chip sizes: 01005, 0402, 0603 or 0805 (EIA). Class I C0G, also ...

Removable wire-to-board connector is solderless

Kyocera AVX has introduced a series of solderless wire-to-board removable edge connectors. Called 9169-000, they combine insulation displacement contacts for the wire with beryllium copper compression contacts for board edge pattern. Locating ribs engage with slots on the PCB edge for polarisation against improper insertion, and moulded plastic clips drop into holes in the PCB to improve retention. “It is ...

Snap-in electrolytics rated for 5,000 hours at 105°C

Kyocera Avx SNA electrolytic capacitors

Kyocera AVX has launched two series of snap-in -25 to 105°C electrolytic capacitors for commercial and industrial applications. SNA capacitors are rated for a life of 5,000 hours. Voltage ratings are 250, 420 or 450Vdc, capacitance is between 82 and 1,500µF (±20%), and there are 24 case sizes spanning 22mm diameter x 25mm long to 35∅ x 50mm. As well ...

Edge connectors with spring contacts
